Beth Benedix is Professor Emerita of World Literature, Religious Studies, and Community Engagement at DePauw University, and Founder and Director of The Castle (www.castlearts.org), a non-profit organization that works to create a culture of arts-integrated project-based learning in Putnam County, IN public schools. A prolific writer, her third book, Ghost Writer (A Story About Telling a Holocaust Story), was named a finalist in the category of writing/publishing (non-fiction) for the 2019 Next Generation Indie Awards. Her most recent book, The Post-Pandemic Liberal Arts College: A Manifesto for Reinvention (co-authored with Steven Volk) has been well received and has led to a number of speaking engagements and interviews.
